Hidden Treasure in the Bible

A 2004 movie, National Treasures, is about a good guy (Nicholas Cage) and a bad guy (Sean Bean) looking for clues to a vast treasure of gold hidden by the Knights Templar somewhere in the United States. Only if we would search as intently for hidden treasure in the Bible! Recently “Biblical workmen” (those who labor in word and doctrine) have uncovered a treasure buried under a mountain of false doctrine by Satan. The Reformers may have uncovered some truth, but this far exceeds what has been taught in churches for the past 500 years. It is more valuable than all the gold and silver in the world. This may urge you reconsider truth.

What is the treasure?

The treasure is a hidden secret of God in the Bible containing the correct doctrine of the glorious mystery of the called-out which is the body of Christ.

  •        A treasure that clarifies the manifold wisdom of God according to His eternal purpose

  •        A treasure that glorifies Christ in His rightful position as Head of the called-out, which is His body

  •        A treasure that reconciles the differences and conflicts concerning doctrines and practices intended for Israel and those for the called-out

  •       A treasure that can bring unity in truth and understanding the Bible

  •      A treasure that brings to light the hope and calling of the elect body today

  •       A treasure that is only found in the parts of the Bible written to us!

(Hint: It has been hid from ages and from generations; from the beginning of the world has been hid in God, but now is made manifest to His saints)

My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; so that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God. (Proverbs 2:1-5)

(Hint: Look for the words “wisdom”, “knowledge” and “understanding” together in the New Testament.)

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. (2 Timothy 2:15) (Hint: Rightly divide Paul’s two ministries)

Be it known therefore unto you, that the salvation of God is sent unto the Gentiles, and that they will hear it. (Acts 28:28)

(Hint: This is the great dividing line. The treasure is on this side of it … in a new spiritual frontier.)

The treasure contains:

  •   the riches of the glory of His inheritance,

  •   the exceeding riches of His grace,

  •   the unsearchable riches of Christ,

  •   the prize of the high calling,

  •   every blessing that is spiritual in heavenly places

Caution!

The bad guy is very cunning and powerful. He has buried the clues under a mountain of traditional doctrines and false teachings. He has corrupted true doctrine and has corrupted the word of God. Even Theologians, Doctors of Divinity, Bible Colleges, and Ordained Ministers have been deceived. Let the Holy Spirit be your guide (John 16:13).

(Hint: A prisoner in Rome knows all about the treasure.)

Qualifications

The treasure is only available to those who are saved in Christ (John 3:36, 5:24), but have not yet come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Tim 2:3-4). You must be a faithful one (believer). Once you find the treasure you will have to go through a readjustment (perfecting). You must acknowledge it as truth. Then you will have to take a stand against those who will try to rob you of your reward.

Good news

You will find the gospel of your salvation and not a salvation that is tied to Israel and their kingdom.

The eyes of your understanding will be enlightened.

You will know what is the hope of His calling.

You will be renewed in the spirit of your mind.
